Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills, stains) in one session without the need to switch out devices. They also can save storage space compared to having two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean, full dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at fast speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app which lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you can opt for the robot to do a deep clean in the kitchen and living rooms but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. The only drawback is that it is known to smash into walls and objects at a high speed. However, a quick look at the history of cleaning in the app will reveal exactly what the robot has completed, where it's going, and which obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
The docking station comes with an LCD display that shows the need for maintenance like emptying the debris and washing the water tank that is dirty. It is also able to mix detergent into the water tank by itself, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time and the mop is capable of running for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in normal mode before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is simple to use and intuitive and lets you look at all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum and mop is the most recent version. It's not like the model from last year this one has an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to remove small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners might overlook.
This Roborock model, just like the other two models I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they're a wall or another surface. It will then automatically alter its path and clean the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. have a peek here -empties and the bin auto-refilling.
The only issue I have discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if it's required) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount itself to wash manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, track battery life and component maintenance. But you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control with this model, which is a shame considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its clever design permits personalized and efficient cleaning, while also saving time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the best alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry messes. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet in operation and only occasionally bursting during mode changes or self-maintenance.

Another standout feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush, which lets it get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean furniture such as table and chair legs. It also lets the robot to access low-profile furniture which makes it a great choice for small apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush tilts automatically down when it spots wet spots. This is a nice feature that enables the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through excessive back-and forth movements.
In contrast to other robots that are restricted to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, or reverse the process. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is simple to use and understand, and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. They can also adjust suction power, alter modes, look at floor plans and maps, and manage mopping setting. The X40 will also keep track of its progress, and alert you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it a great option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads, then refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect whether the mop pad is at its capacity to the max and notify you of the situation prior to it bursting.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. It does have many characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature of its mop, utilizes two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirty spots.
Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is an excellent feature since it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a great method of keeping your home hygienic for longer.
There are plenty of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and change preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options for customising the cleaning process, and there are a lot of functions that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles instead of using the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a bit heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list - at 4kg however it's not overly heavy either, and it feels robust and well built. Mopping is well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can even extend up to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
